NEET 2019 Application Form, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET (UG) will be conducted by NTA from 2019 onwards.  


As per the official notification, registration for NEET 2019 has commenced from November 1. Intermediate graduates (10+2) with minimum of 50% aggregate marks can apply online at nta.ac.in.

Process:

The National Testing Agency has released NEET Application Forms from November 1, 2018. Intermediate graduates (10+2) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination can apply online at nta.ac.in. With the introduction of NTA, the registration fee is expected to change as well. Earlier, the application fee for General & OBC category was INR 1400 and for SC/ ST category it was INR 750.
This year, NEET 2019 is scheduled for May 5 in offline (pen-paper) mode. In case, an applicant makes any error or mistake while filling in the online form, a one time form correction facility will be provided to rectify the same.   • NIOS Candidates are now eligible to fill the application form for NEET 2019. 
  • Candidates from UR category aged above 25 years and those with Biology as an additional subject may also apply for the exam. 
  • The conducting body has increased NEET Exam Cities from 84 cities in 2017 to 150 in 2018. 
  • For admission into UG courses in AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy), students must appear for NEET. Know More

SC REFUSES TO INTERFERE WITH NEET EXAM

The Supreme Court Friday refused to entertain a plea which sought quashing of the answer keys of some questions in the NEET(UG)-2019 examination saying that an expert body has duly applied its mind and revised answers were issued. The top court, however, allowed the four Hyderabad based students who have challenged the answer keys, to approach the high court for the relief. It said that courts are not experts in each and every subject and time has come when the interference in this arena should be stopped. A vacation bench of Justices Ajay Rastogi and Surya Kant allowed the four medical aspirants to withdraw their plea and granted them liberty to approach the high court with their grievances.
